With the growth of “self-service” shopping, a corrugated package labeled with highest quality litho graphics was ideal for an environment in which the package instead of a salesclerk would do the selling. Automatan developed a high-speed litho label laminator for corrugated boxmakers to add value to strong, plain corrugated boxes easily and economically.

Supplying hundreds of litho labelers has moved Automatan into a leadership role in sheet-to-sheet laminating equipment. In addition to our premier labelers, we offer high-production singleface laminators, especially popular for the growing small-flute litho-laminated market, and pattern laminators for specialty game and puzzle markets. Most recently Automatan has added robotics to their product line to provide customers with solutions that will increase efficiencies and decrease manual labor. The robots are designed to feed the front end of all types of corrugated machinery as well as load forming off the back end and allow for a quick ROI.

It is Automatan’s aim to improve packaging graphics. Recognizing the importance of pH in flexo printing, Automatan offers its Inkontrol system for control of flexo ink pH and viscosity to give flexo printers the assurance of automatic and precision control of these ink variables. It is also Automatan’s goal to improve efficiency in graphics. We build load turners for small commercial printing formats up to large board and corrugated formats. Cleaning sheets as well as aligning them improves runnability, and automating handling of heavy loads addresses ergonomic concerns.

As the much of the world is now following the "one-stop-shopping" concept introduced by large discount centers and warehouse-style club stores, the growth of these markets for corrugated and the need for graphics-related equipment will continue. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and technical knowledge that your in-house maintenance needs, to be able to fix their own machines. Our technical support team and parts department work with customers to resolve issues over the phone, but when special care is needed, our team is prepared to make emergency field service visits, to get your plant up and running quickly. Parts, service, and support are handled directly through the Automatan technical support group.
